Drew McIntyre is all set to march into the biggest match of his career in front of the sold crowd at WWE Clash at the Castle against The Head of the Table Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, taking place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on September 3 2022.
McIntyre rose to the main event picture back in 2020, winning the Royal Rumble match to punch his ticket for the main event of Wrestlemania. However, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wrestlemania that year took place behind the closed doors of the WWE Performance Center with no audience in attendance.

The Scottish Warrior defeated then WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in the main event to win his first-ever World Championship in the WWE, but that moment of glory left incomplete for McIntyre with the appreciation and presence of the WWE Universe alluding him from a big pop moment up until now.
Many believe that Clash at the Castle could be Drew’s night walking into the match as a massive fan favorite among the U.K audience and earning his long awaited crowning moment of becoming the World Champion to the thunderous reception of the WWE universe.
But most recently, McIntyre’s turbulent road to the top suffered another setback with the Scottish Warrior reportedly dealing with a back injury and has been pulled from all Live events just a few weeks before WWE Clash at the Castle. Although Drew is not expected to have surgery for the same, he is being told to rest and heal up before his mega showdown with The Tribal Chief at WWE’s Premium event in U.K.

However, if Drew’s injury turns out to be worse than thought and he is forced to withdraw from the match, WWE is ready with a backup plan with Roman Reigns also reportedly not walking out with both titles as revealed by @NewsXero on his twitter account.
Also, a recent report suggests that USA network wants to see a World title featured regularly on Monday Night RAW as the company is set to bring back the WWE Draft reportedly taking place on the RAW or Smackdown after WWE Clash at the Castle.
