RETRIBUTION features on today’s WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 rumor roundup

Mr. McMahon’s right hand man Bruce Prichard was the creative genius behind stupid sounding names of the members of Retribution. Ex superstar and Retribution member Shane Haste (Shane Thorne/Slapjack) has told in an interview that all their colorful names like Slapjack, T-Bar etc were the brain child of Prichard, as were their gimmicks.

T-Bar had wanted many others to be a part of the group and they wanted different names but Prichard was the ultimate creative authority here. But he says that even if the names were laughable i.e. Slapjack, he was happy just to appear on the main show and would be Slapjack once again if it meant making a comeback.

As for Prichard, after Vince McMahon’s departure, he is still a part of creative but demoted as Triple H is the creative head now. Hopefully we won’t see his creative genius anytime in the future.

Shawn Michaels dominates today’s WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 rumor roundup

WWE is rebranding their NXT UK brand as NXT Europe and is expanding all across the continent in 2023. Therefore many corporate changes are bound to happen under Triple H, who is the Head of Creative.

Therefore, It should not come as a surprise that he has promoted his right hand man and best friend as VP. He took over NXT last year when Triple H had heart issues and has also played a key creative role in NXT 2.0 for which he has gathered a lot of praise. It is very evident that the black and gold brand is in good hands under him.

Twitch is finally unbanned by WWE

Drew Gulak has tweeted that he is streaming on Twitch again, which means WWE has finally lifted it’s ban on wrestlers earning through third party platforms like Twitch. He even thanked Triple H for removing the controversial ban.

WWE’s wrestlers are “Independent Contractors” but were still restricted from streaming and earning through the platform, which caused a mass protest backstage by the likes of Paige and Zelina Vega among many.

Finally, it was in April 2022, that WWE gave in and Nick Khan, the president at that time lifted the ban. But it seems that unbanning has come into play only now under Triple H’s supervision. Things finally moving along for good under The Game could only mean good things in WWE’s future.
