Liv Morgan had quite a celebratory night at WWE Clash at the Castle, walking in and out of the United Kingdom as the Smackdown Women’s Champion defeating the Submission Magician, Shayna Baszler.
This was Morgan’s second title defense at a major show since WWE SummerSlam 2022, where the Miracle Kid was able to escape the wrath of Shayna’s MMA cohort and sparring partner Ronda Rousey in a rather controversial manner.

The Smackdown Women’s Champion walked into the match with an injured arm to battle the Queen of Spades in a high-intensity showdown with Shayna rapidly focusing her attack on Liv’s arm in an attempt to dethrone the champion.
However, with the ever-lasting courage and fighting spirit, Morgan evaded every near fall and endured the fury of Baszler finding the perfect opening to hit a codebreaker followed by an Oblivion to retain her championship, much to the applause of the WWE Universe in Cardiff, Wales.

One thing that might have gone unnoticed was a major tribute by Liv Morgan to a former female WWE Legend. The Smackdown Women’s Champion’s white ring gear drew comparisons to the attire won by Sensational Sherri aka Sherri Martel at the last major stadium show that took place in the United Kingdom, WWE SummerSlam in 1992.

The legendary female manager played a decisive role in Shawn Michaels victory over Rick Martel at the very same SummerSlam in the Wembley Stadium, London. Sherri was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 and left for heavenly abode in 2007, nearly a year after her taking her rightful place in the Hall of Fame for being one of the greatest managers of all time.
Thirty Years later, Liv Morgan donning an attire inspired by Sherri Martel, survived yet another challenge to retain her position at the top of the WWE Women’s division on Smackdown.
