WWE Clash At The Castle 2022 Match Card: 5 Big Names Who Might Be Absent

WWE Summerslam turned out to be a huge hit, especially with the main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns rekindling contests of the Attitude Era where the ring was left in utter shambles. The next topic of discussion in the wrestling circles is the WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 match card.

Speaking of SummerSlam, the other match-ups that starred a couple of electric returns, with the main one being that of the R-Rated Superstar, Edge, the hype about WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 match card is already blowing through the roof. This is supposed to be the biggest Stadium PPV in UK for the first time in the last 30 years with another blockbuster battle between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns all set to be the main event at Cardiff.

With all said and done about the ones set to battle in the ring, there is also a host of superstars who can probably miss out the swashbuckling PPV that is being touted as one of the heavyweight events of the WWE in the upcoming months. Let us quickly take a look at five superstars who may miss out CATC.

1. Rick Boogs may not be on the WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 match card

Boogs copped a major injury ever since his battle with the Usos alongside Shinsuke Nakamura in Wrestlemania 38. He has been posting positive updates about his recuperation on his social media handles but there is not categorical update on when he is all set to return to action.

Despite being back to the gym, he had a quadriceps tear that usually takes 6-12 months to heal, depending on the category. Going by that timeline, he will be missing out Clash at the Castle.

#2 John Cena will not be on the WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 match card

Cena hasn’t been seen in the ring for a while. Despite wild speculations of a remarkable return, in a recent interview, the leader of Cenation made it clear that he is not done with wrestling yet but his current obligations are to be a part of the series called Peacemaker whose second season is being shot. Hence, there are no immediate reports of an immediate return.

#3 Charlotte Flair

The 12-time Women’s Champion is on a break after her drubbing at the hands of Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania Backlash. The storyline stated that she sustained an injury but as per inside reports, she wanted a break for her wedding with Andre El Idolo.

Despite the earlier hypes, new uncertainty has started looming around Charlotte and considering that, it is highly precarious whether Ric Flair’s daughter will be vying at the Clash at the Castle.

#4 Brock Lesnar may not be on the WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 match card

At the moment, Lesnar hasn’t been seen since his defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns in Summerslam. The reports state that he would not be taking part in any further PPV in the ongoing calendar year.

His next booking is for Day 1, the new year event that is being held by the company. Hence, at the moment, you will be seeing very less of the Beast Incarnate, let aside an appearance at Clash at the Castle.

#5 Theory

Theory tried cashing in his Money in the Bank contract against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Much to his woes, he was destroyed, fortunately the bell didn’t ring, saving his contract for a later battle.

However, at the moment he hasn’t got a match to his name and hence, will most likely be out of the equation at the upcoming UK PPV.
