WWE Backlash 2024 predictions: 4 possible endings to Damian Priest vs Jey Uso match

WWE is set to present its first international PLE, WWE Backlash France after the culmination of the road to WrestleMania 40 which proved to be a staggering success for the company. One of the main event caliber matches scheduled to take place at the show will see new World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest square off against Main Event Jey Uso for his title.

Two nights after defeating his estranged brother Jimmy Uso at the Show of Shows, Jey Uso picked up a huge win in a Fatal 4-Way match to become the first No.1 contender to Damian’s championship.

With the new champion having momentum from his huge win at WrestleMania 40 and Uso backed by his YEET movement, here are 4 possible finishes for the match:

1. The Judgment Day stick it to Jey Uso’s championship aspirations

As Jey Uso walks into a major World Championship match at WWE Backlash France, he has the odds stacked against him with champion Damian Priest backed by his Judgment Day faction cohorts, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio. Despite Jey’s best efforts, he could find himself pinned against the numbers games and fall victim to Damian Priest’s first title defense with the aid of his stable mates.

2. Damian Priest wins his first clean victory as champion

Damian Priest has gone from being homeless to rising above as a main event talent in WWE. He would want to continue his hardworking reputation, despite his villainous antics as part of Judgement Day. The Archer of Infamy could choose to go in alone without his faction against Jey Uso and put down the Main Event Uso in a clean victory to cement his status as a legitimate threat in the company.

3. Jimmy Uso returns to his brother’s side to assist him in his championship quest

As the WWE Universe, Solo Sikoa took over the reins of The Bloodline in the absence of Roman Reigns following WrestleMania 40. In his first act, he outcasted Jimmy Uso from the stable with the aid of thier newest member, Tama Tonga leaving Uso beaten and battered. This could set the tone for Jimmy to resurface back at WWE Backlash and unlike the previous two of Jey’s title matches, Jimmy this time could assist his brother. He could lead Jey Uso to the World title victory and reunite with his brother in a poignant moment to reform The Usos.

4. Jey Uso wins the big one

Main Event Jey Uso has previously failed in his two attempts in two big title matches. However, with the dawning of a new era, the tide would shift in Jey Uso’s favor. With his YEET audience behind him, Uso could outlast the threat of Damian Priest and end his title reign before it even made an impact to become the new World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Backlash France.
