As NXT continues to make ripples one after the other, a crucial part of their tag-team partnership is Wolfgang who is known as Barry Young and is currently 37 years old, fighting his way through, hoping for making a WWE Debut shortly on the main roster.

As Barry Young or Wolfgang continues to terrorize the NXT roster alongside his partner. Mark Coffey, here are five facts that you must know about the virtuoso in the ring, particularly during his ongoing reign as the NXT Tag-team champion.

#1 Appeared on WWE United Kingdom Champion in a two-night tournament

On 15th December 2016, it was divulged that Young would be a part of the two-night tournament to find the first UK Champion. Barry defeated T-Bone in the first round, advancing to the quarterfinals. In the quarters, he got the better of Trent Seven before finally bowing down to Tyler Bate in the semi-finals.

#2 Face and heel turn

On 13th September 2017, Wolfgang battled Pete Dunne for the WWE UK Championship but couldn’t win it. However, after losing the battle, he was brutally assaulted by the Undisputed Era that comprised the likes of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Eventually making him a proper face, Trent Seven and Tyler Bate levelled the playing field. He eventually turned heel on 31st October after losing a match against Mark Andrews.

#3 NXT debut

On NXT Heatwave, Gallus made their first appearance as a faction that featured the trio of Wolfgang and the Coffey Brothers. They faced the likes of NXT UK Champions, Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs which they would actually seize through countout.

#4 Trainers

He has received quite significant training that features the likes of BCW Academy, Drew Galloway, Kid Fite and Red Lightning. No wonder his wrestling style have been that of ground brawling with his finishers coming in between.
