Mumbai Indians are one of the most popular franchises in IPL and WPL. The first edition of the Women’s Premier League starts on March 4th. MI is known for its blue-and-gold colour combination. While they have retained this in the jersey, there is also a reddish/orangish tinge in line with the ‘sun’ of Mumbai. It is an interesting combination and it needs to be seen how it would look on the field under lights. Moreover, fans are also curious if the men’s jersey would also be similar.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians would be happy with the return to the form of Harmanpreet Kaur. Yes, there are injury issues but with her returning to confidence, the batting line-up of MI now looks sorted. The team has a solid group of all-rounders. Amelia Kerr, Chloe Tyron, Hayle Matthews and Nat Sciver are some of them. If these foreigners can perform well, MI will have one eye on the knockout stages. They would also need Indian players such as Yastika Bhatia and Pooja Vastrakar to fire. This would help the franchise maintain the necessary balance to find success on the field.
