In what has been the latest development, it is learned as per the reports in Times of India (TOI) that World Test Championship Final (WTC) Final is likely to take 8th place on 8th June. Although there’s no official statement but it is also learned that there is a reserve day as well to make up for time lost due to rain.
With final of the WTC around the corner, things are getting intense and with just a few series left in the cycle, we are still unsure of who will be the two teams that will play the summit clash. Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and India are in contention and it remains to be seen who will be the two teams to play the final in June this year.
It’s fair to say that the series between India and Australia will decide the fate of the final as both teams are likely to play in the summit clash. If India beats the Aussies then they will qualify along with them. Whereas if Pat Cummins-led side whitewashed India then South Africa will be through.
