Kairi Sane (now going by the name KAIRI) was one of the most dynamic and high-flying female Superstars in the WWE from the land of Japan. The former NXT and Women’s Tag Team champion had an impressive run on both the developmental territory and main roster, most notably with fellow Japanese native, The Empress of Tomorrow Asuka.
The Pirate Princess, during her tenure, in the WWE stepped in the ring with some of the top Superstars of the company like Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Shayna Baszler, Nikki A.S.H, Bayley, and many others.
However, she announced her departure from WWE in December 2020 after her contract expired. She also took up the role of an ambassador and became a trainer for WWE’s Japan branch before parting ways with the company.

In February 2022, Kairi made her return to her former promotion, World Wonder Ring Stardom. She made her in-ring return at the World Climax event the following month picking up a huge victory over Starlight Kid. She was scheduled to battle Saya Kamitani at WWRS’s upcoming event, Stardom x Stardom for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship. However, the company recently announced that Kairi has been pulled from the event:
“KAIRI will miss this weekend’s Stardom x Stardom PPV event due to poor physical condition. We apologize for changes to the card, and thank you for understanding.”

As per Xero News, Kairi Sane won’t be coming back anytime soon while also mentioning that a close source told him that Triple H hasn’t even sounded her out for making a comeback to the WWE.
Kairi was earlier speculated to return as Asuka’s partner in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, however, Alexa Bliss was later announced to team up with the Japanese Superstar for the tournament for the tag titles.
