The scene then shifted to Leeds, where India won yet again won the game. Dilip Vengsarkar’s century in the second innings was the turning point, but Roger Binny’s five-wicket haul in the first innings set up the game for India. The men in blue won the series 2-0.

28 years later, under the leadership of MS Dhoni, India won at Lord’s in a Test match. It was a historic win by 95 runs, and it was made possible due to Ishant Sharma‘s seven wicket-haul in the second innings.

Having taken the lead in the series, India lost the next game at Southampton. Moeen Ali spun a web around the Indian Team in the second innings as India lost the match by 266 runs. The nation also lost the next two games in the series.

Virat Kohli’s men will now head to Leeds where they will play the third game of the series. While the England Team has already announced changes in the squad, it needs to be seen if India would alter its winning combination.
