With four titles in their bag, Chennai Super Kings is the second most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They had a very indifferent season and finished 9th on the points table in IPL 2022, which was only the second instance after 2020 where they failed to qualify for the playoffs.
With the next season of the edition probably the last season for MS Dhoni, they will be eager to make a comeback next season and claim their fifth title and win it for their skipper. They have a dangerous-looking squad and if they play well to their potential, no one can stop them from lifting that cup.
They had a decent IPL 2023 auction as they bagged a handful of players in Ajinkya Rahane, Ben Stokes, Shaik Rasheed, Nishant Sindhu, Kyle Jamieson, Ajay Mandal, and Bhagath Varma. The addition of an English all-founder and Kiwi pacer makes their squad even more threatening.
