South Australian cricketing outfit, West End Redbacks has managed to woo off-spinner Sydney-born off-spinner, Ben Manenti out of Tasmania as they look forward to bolster their bowling ranks.

The 25-year-old spinner made his first-class and List A debuts with the Tigers in the precursor season. He will be joining fellow fast bowlers Harry Conway and Henry Thornton at the Redbacks for the 2022-23 season as divulged by cricket.com.au last week.

Manenti pulled off impressive spells for New Town in Premier Cricket, bagging figures of 5-190 in his first Marsh Sheffield game in March. Despite Manenti’s brilliant spell, the Tigers would eventually fall to Victoria by a slender margin, snuffing out all hopes of making the cut for the final.

The trio of Conway, Thornton and Manenti are amongst the nine changes that Redbacks have enlisted for the upcoming season. The changes on the back of some momentous shifts that would witness Kane Richardson heading to Queensland, Daniel Worrall destined to Surrey and Joe Mennie calling it a day.
