Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane has broken the shackles and has returned to form after being under heat for a long time. The right-hander smashed a wonderful century in the Ranji Trophy game against Hyderabad.
Asked to bat first, after Mumbai lost Suryakumar Yadav for 90 runs, Ajinkya Rahane made sure that he didn’t let the opposition take the momentum as he batted staggering well hitting balls in gaps and scoring runs all over the park.
Rahane was at his classical best as he smashed a crucial 206 runs partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal and then paved his way through another First-Class century. The right-hander was unbeaten at 108 in 74th over and will be looking to convert it into a big hundred.
This ton will mean a lot for him as would be keen to make a comeback in the Indian side. Rahane was axed from India’s squad for the home Test series against Sri Lanka last year after poor outings for more than a year. He then suffered an injury and never found himself back in the side.
