Pakistan has won the ODI series against Australia despite losing the first game of the three-match series. It was the terrific show by Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq that has helped the hosts to make a comeback. In both the games that Pakistan won, captain Babar Azam scored a century. Babar Azam scores second consecutive century
The first game in the ODI series was a massive upset for Pakistan. After losing the Test series, Pakistan was under pressure to win a game. However, despite Australia missing a few key players, Pak could not manage a victory. Hence, many predicted that they would lose the ODI series, as well. However, the team won two matches on the trot and has now won the ODI series. It is after a very long time that Pakistan has won an ODI tournament against Australia.
While Babar Azam scored 114 of 83 deliveries in the second ODI, in the last game, he made 105 in 115 balls. In the second game, Pakistan was chasing a stiff target while in the final match, the target was only 211. Babar Azam showed his class because, at one point in his innings, he had middle all the deliveries that he had faced. Considering the overall context, it was a fine show by the player.
