Rishabh Pant has entertained the fans a lot in the recent Test matches with his hilarious commentary from behind the stumps. Virender Sehwag had recently labeled him as the ultimate street cricketer because Pant’s comments often confused the batsmen batting in the middle and resulted in their fall of wicket.
Pant was vocal behind the stumps in the fourth Test between India and England today. When Axar Patel came to bowl in the first innings, the left-arm spinner troubled Zak Crawley. The English opener was trying his best to get on the top of the Indian all-rounder.
However, Pant got under his skin by saying, “Someone is getting angry” from behind the wickets. As a result, Crawley went big on the next ball and lost his wicket. You can watch the video of this incident here.
Crawley smashed the 30th ball he faced straight into the hands of Mohammed Siraj as Axar Patel got his second wicket of the day. Team India has dominated the proceedings against England on the opening day of the final Test of this series.
Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel will be key to India’s success
Openers Dom Sibley and Zak Crawley lost their wickets to Axar Patel, while Mohammed Siraj, who has come in the place of Jasprit Bumrah, trapped Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in front of the stumps.
England is 95/4 at the moment, with Ben Stokes and Ollie Pope batting in the middle. Stokes will be keen to take his team to a respectable score. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will look forward to dismissing the other six batsmen today and take the upper hand in this Test just like the pink-ball game.
Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant’s combination worked perfectly to dismiss Zak Crawley in the first innings. It will be interesting to see what happens when Crawley comes out to bat in the second innings of this Test.
