However, much to the surprise of everyone, Rashid Khan blasted one of those rarities recently at Vitality Blast when his late heroics pulled off a dramatic turnaround for Sussex against Yorkshire.
Jordan Thompson who was the pick of the Sussex bowlers until then wanted to try his luck by bowling fuller to the Afghan leggie.
A close follower of MSD, Rashid Khan cleared his front foot and launched the delivery into space as his follow-through rekindled everyone of MS Dhoni’s signature stroke.

The drama pulled off by Rashid Khan
He conjured a late blitzkrieg comprising 27 runs from just 9 balls to change the fortunes of the game. Barring his sublime leg-spin, he is known for smashing a few out of the parks too.
Batting first, Yorkshire managed to amass 177 runs from 20 overs. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Gary Ballance did the major part of the damage, with Jordan Thompson chipping away, late into the innings.
Chasing a total of 178, Sussex was off to blinder, only to be rattled in the middle of the innings. Luke Wright led the charge whilr Delray Rawlins and Phil Salt chimed in with valuable cameos.
Rashid Khan punched heroically above his weight that saw him blasting 3 fours and 2 sixes in his brief stay, powering Sussex to a thrilling victory.
He will soon be back in action as the second half of IPL is all set to kick off from the 19th of September. With Natarajan out of action for the Sunrisers, he will have to play a key role in keeping their bowling stitched together.
