The young left arm fast bowler from CSK, Mukesh Choudhary, didn’t have a great game in the IPL last night against Royal Challengers Bangalore as he dropped two easy catches, which were both expected to be taken comfortably by a player playing at the IPL level.
Since Mukesh Choudhary dropped both those catches at a crucial stage of the game, his CSK teammates were not very happy with him because the game could have gone either way, but that’s where the former CSK captain MS Dhoni showed his composure and experience.
When CSK’s mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana dismissed Shahbaz Ahmed in the very same over where Mukesh had dropped a catch, most of the CSK players were busy celebrating the wicket because that was a very important wicket for the team.
But, MS Dhoni went straight to Mukesh Choudhary to console him for the dropped catch and to probably let him know that anyone could drop a catch despite being a professional cricketer and there is no shame in that.

CSK then brought Mukesh on to bowl the 17th over of the innings as well and although he went for a couple of sixes first up, he later closed out the over very well by bowling outside the off stump as per the given plan.
Dwayne Bravo landed the knockout punch on RCB in the next over by dismissing Dinesh Karthik as the RCB wicketkeeper was holed out at deep midwicket trying to hit a six. It was CSK’s first win in the tournament, which was a big relief for them as they were stugglng so far with 4 consecutive losses and were at the bottom of the points table.
The gesture of MS Dhoni to go to a young player and console him despite the youngster dropping a couple of crucial catches is going viral on twitter today and people are appreciating the former CSK skipper for showing great demeanour under pressure yet again.
