Compared to the other nations, we often don’t see the men’s and the women’s cricketers of Team India engage often. Some time ago, there was an idea of a mixed-gender game. However, that did not happen. Nevertheless, in Bengaluru recently, there was a rare event.
KL Rahul was seen practising in the nets against Jhulan Goswami. The West Bengal cricketer is one of the best that India has produced in the bowling department. So far, she has collected 252 ODI wickets, 56 T20I wickets, and 44 Test wickets for India. KL Rahul happens to be one of the important cricketers for India on the men’s team. KL will need a strong return to the Indian Team
KL Rahul has not been a part of Team India in the last few games. In this period, the likes of Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant have strengthened their position as an opening option in T20I cricket. While KL Rahul is still the preferred option to walk alongside Rohit Sharma in T20Is, he has less margin for complacency.
There are complaints that KL plays slowly as compared to other modern T20 batters. This is despite him having an array of shots in his Armory. Hence, to shut down the criticism, KL Rahul may have to turn up in a new aggressive avatar in the next assignment.
