Wasim Jaffer picks his Indian XI for the second Test against Australia; leaves out KL Rahul

The second Test between India and Australia will be played from 17th February.

Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has picked his Indian XI for the second Test against Australia. The Ranji Trophy Legend has left out vice-captain KL Rahul for the game and has drafted Shubman Gill in his place.

After a massive inning and 132 runs win in the first Test in Nagpur, India is all set to lock horns with Australia in the second game from 17th February in Delhi. They displayed a staggering performance in the first game with both bat and ball and would be hoping to replicate the same.

With the game just a few hours away from now, many fans and pundits have predicted the Indian XI for the upcoming game. The latest to join the bandwagon is Wasim Jaffer.

The former Indian batter has named skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as the opening pair for the Delhi Test. He has left out KL Rahul owing to the poor form of late.

Chetesshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli will bat at No.3 and No.4 respectively in Jaffer’s XI whereas he has replaced Shreyas Iyer with Suryakumar Yadav in the team. Iyer has recovered from the injury and has joined the team in Delhi.

KS Bharat will continue keeping the wicket in Wasim Jaffer’s playing XI for the second Test. Whereas Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Axar Patel are the three all-rounders in the team. The pacer department will be boosted by Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shami in Jaffer’s XI.
