Tottenham Hotspur players seem to be taking a keen interest in cricket these days and the club, from its official Twitter account, is also uploading videos of the Footballers playing cricket in their leisure time.
Harry Kane, the Tottenham skipper who has been an ardent cricket fan for a long time now, recently quoted one of the videos put out by Tottenham Hotspur’s official Twitter account and asked the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli if there is a place for him in the RCB squad which is one of the IPL teams.
It was a question asked in jest and Kohli answered it in jest as well, but Kohli also put a subtle Footballing element into it and his tweet is now going viral.
Virat Kohli wants Harry Kane as a counter attacking batsman
Kohli, while answering Harry Kane’s question, firstly praised his skills and then told him that he could consider having him in the squad as a “counter-attacking” batsman.
Haha good skills mate. Maybe we can get you in as a counter attacking batsman😃👏 @HKane https://t.co/rYjmVUkdwO

Now, there is no such term as a counter-attacking batsman in cricket, but Kohli got that from Football.
The thing is that Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Jose Mourinho is using Harry Kane in a slightly different role this season. Kane, for most parts of his career, has played as a proper striker.
But, Mourinho is now using Kane in a slightly deeper role as he rates his skills on the ball as well apart from his finishing abilities.
And surprisingly, Kane has taken a great liking to his new role as he is counter-attacking wonderfully for Tottenham wherever possible and finding spaces to set up the goal-scoring play for the men forward.
As a result of Kane’s wonderful form, Tottenham is at the top of the Premier League points table at the moment with 20 points.
Kane is normally there and thereabouts in the leading goal-scorers’ chart most of the time, but this season, he is there in the list of most assists which is a remarkable and a significant change for him.
