Shubman Gill and T Natarajan are valuable assets for their respective franchise

Gill has proven to be exceptionally handy for a shaky batting line-up of Kolkata Knight Riders in the last two seasons. However, in the ongoing season, he has struggled a lot with just 132 runs from 7 matches. With Eoin Morgan most likely to be out of the tournament, Kolkata may opt for Tim Seifert as an opener.

Gill’s patience will help the dynamic Seifert to rack up some early runs, as powerplays have always been a challenge for the KKR in the ongoing tournament.

Similarly, Natarajan stunned everyone in the preceding edition of the tournament with 16 scalps from 16 matches at a decent economy rate of 8.02. However, his injury has kept him sidelined for most of the tournament in 2021 and he will be raring to take the field for the Orange Army for the remainder of the fray.
