But after that, it was all about Ravindra Jadeja as he struck post-lunch and the visitors slipped from 84/2 to 109/5. The all-rounder removed Labuschagne and Smith with a peach of deliveries and then continued his carnage on the other batters.
Jadeja removed the likes of Matt Renshaw (0), Peter Handscomb (31) and Todd Murphy (0) to complete his 11th five-wicket haul in Test cricket. He was complimented well by his partner in crime R Ashwin, who took three wickets and helped his side wrap up the opposition for just 177 runs.
