The ICC U-19 World Cup 2022 has reached its quarterfinal phase. The India U-19 team, who finished runners-up in the previous edition of the mega event, have set up a rematch with the winners of the previous edition, the Bangladesh U-19 team in the Super League quarterfinal. The big match is underway right now in the West Indies. Ravi Kumar has done well for India U-19s.
The Bangladesh U-19 team received an invitation to bat first from the India U-19s. The India U-19s have started really well as left-arm medium-pacer Ravi Kumar has bowled an excellent opening spell for the India U-19s. The 18-year-old bowled five overs, and out of them, one was a maiden over.
In the other four overs, Kumar conceded only five runs and picked up three wickets. He opened his account in his first over itself and rattled the stumps of the opening batter Mahfijul Islam when he was on two runs off three deliveries. In the sixth over of the contest, Ravi took the wicket of the second opener of the Bangladesh U-19 team – Iftakher Hossain.
Soon after, Kumar dismissed the number three batter of the Bangladesh U-19 team Prantik Nawrose Nabil as the Bangladesh U-19 team was left reeling at 14/3 at 7.4 overs. Vicky Ostwal has picked up two more wickets as right now the Bangladesh U-19 team is down to 48/5 after 20 overs.
Twitterati in awe of Ravi Kumar after he bowled a devastating spell against Bangladesh U-19s
Twitter users appreciated the bowling skills of Kumar. Often, the left-arm pacers have troubled the Indian cricket team in ICC events. This time, a left-arm medium-pace bowler from India has troubled the opposition team in an ICC knockout match.
Here’s how the Twitter users appreciated Ravi. His spell has given the India U-19 team an upper hand, and they are now the favorites to win.
