Rahul Dravid becomes Indian coach: There were a lot of speculations about who will be succeeding Ravi Shastri, as the Indian coach announced his decision to step down from the mantle after the T20 World Cup.
Things got worse for the Indian preceptor after they almost sealed their exit in the two opening matches of the tournament with defeats against Pakistan and New Zealand.

The most obvious question that followed was whether it was going to be Rahul Dravid in charge of the Indian cricket team as the successor of Shastri? The wall of Indian cricket is a much-loved figure amongst the Indian fans and has already proven his worth as the Indian coach against Sri Lanka.
Dravid led the team with more than half of the players out because of Covid, and yet managed to cut a very close edge against the Lankans.
Rahul Dravid will be taking over the reins of the team against New Zealand in the upcoming series starting 17th November. The decision of appointing Dravid as the head coach was taken by BCCI’s advisory committee containing the likes of Sulakshana Naik and RP Singh.
Dravid was heard quoting, “It is an absolute honour to be appointed as the new head coach of the Indian cricket team, I am really looking forward to this role”.
Rahul Dravid was one of the most eminent batters of India in both ODI’s and Test cricket, and his eye for perfect technique has been a massive lesson to countless youngsters.
