Ever since the Maharashtra cricketer started his IPL career, he has been in incredible form. Even after he struggled initially, CSK backed him, and they have reaped rewards in the games that followed.
After the brief blip at the start of IPL 2021, Ruturaj has been the best batsman for CSK. Not only for the franchise, at the moment, but he is also the highest scorer in the league. He has already scored three half-centuries, and his best performance was the century knock against RR.

Although he started relatively slow, as has been the case this season, Rutu picked up steam in the middle-overs. He was especially brutal against the spinners and in all, he scored nine boundaries and five huge hits out of the park.
Until the last delivery of the innings, it was not clear if Ruturaj would get his hundred. With two balls remaining, the player got strike with his score sitting at 95. The penultimate ball of the last over, Rutu played a dot ball. Hence, the situation was such that he had to get a six off the last delivery from Mustafizur Rahman to get to his maiden century. The Maharashtra cricketer did that with a massive hit on the 60th ball he was facing, and the CSK dugout erupted with joy.
