Suryakumar Yadav scores 5th consecutive single-digit score

Since 2018, Suryakumar Yadav has scored 512, 424 and 480 runs in IPL. This exceptional performance helped Mumbai Indians win two trophies since then. SKY also made his way to Team India. He did well in the initial games and was recently selected to be part of the T20 World Cup. The ICC event is set to start on October 17th. SKY had already cemented his place in the XI with some fine performances.

However, all of it is going for a toss at the moment. In the last five innings in IPL, SKY has not been able to cross double digits. Mumbai Indians has also struggled during the period. Against Punjab Kings, the batsman secured a golden duck. He was cleaned up by young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi. This was despite the team chasing a not so difficult target. At the moment, SKY’s IPL 2021 stats read 189 runs from 10 games, which is an underwhelming record for a player of his talent.

Twitter disappointed with SKY’s show

Twitter is naturally disappointed with SKY’s show. An experienced campaigner in the league, a matured performance is expected out of the player whenever he steps onto the field. However, his cluelessness in recent games has bothered the fans. Importantly, he was set to play an important role in Team India’s World Cup campaign and hence, the concern is high. Many posts on Twitter also reflected the same.
