“This isn’t the pitch I’d expect to be prepared,” Twitter unhappy with PCB as Pakistan needs to win 4/5 of its remaining home Tests to make the WTC final

England is most likely to score over 500 runs on Day 1.

Fans on Twitter were unhappy with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for preparing a road-like pitch in Rawalpindi for the first Test between Pakistan and England. They feel that the governing body should’ve not prepared such a pitch when they need to win 4/5 of its remaining home Tests to make the WTC final.

England batters put on a show in Rawalpindi against Pakistan

After a lot of doubts over the commencement of the first Test between Pakistan and England, the game finally underwent and it has been nothing short of entertainment so far. The visitors won the toss and put on the show for ages with the bat.

It’s fair to say English batters have made full use of the pitch, which has nothing for bowlers in it and is a batting paradise. Openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett put on a show up front as they activated their beast mode and played like T20 innings.

Both the batters smashed centuries and smashed 233 runs for the opening partnership. Apart from Joe Root, who missed the sweep, rest every other batter so far has batted like a dream and has played his shots.

While Harry Brook smashed his maiden half-century, Ollie Pope registered his third Test ton. In a road-like pitch, almost every batter has cashed on the opportunity and it seems that England might post over 500 runs on the Day 1 of the Test match.
