AJ Styles is one of the most respected veterans in the world of professional wrestling. He has achieved a lot of success in his WWE career even though he joined the company in 2016 only. After making his debut in Royal Rumble match of 2016, Styles has proven to be an MVP for WWE.
He played an integral role in building the SmackDown Live brand from 2016 to 2018. In 2019, he switched to RAW and established himself as one of the best Superstars in the red brand’s history. Fans always enjoy the wrestling matches involving AJ Styles, and as some say, The Phenomenal One can even have a five-star match with a broom.
Quite shockingly though, Styles has not won a singles match on a WWE premium live event in the last three years. A Twitter user named ‘Wrestle OPs’ recently shared the following statistic:
“AJ Styles remains winless in singles matches on PPV for 3 years & counting now. His last singles-PPV win being Crown Jewel 2019. Hopefully that changes sooner rather than later.”
When was the last time AJ Styles won a WWE PPV match?
Styles won his last WWE premium live event match back in 2019. It was at the Crown Jewel show, where he defeated Humberto Carillo in a match for the WWE United States Championship. He then suffered defeats against Edge and The Undertaker in the three singles matches that he had.
Other matches were either tag team matches with Omos by his side or six-person tag team match with The O.C., Finn Balor and Liv Morgan. He even had a couple of triple threat matches. One was against Drew McIntyre and The Miz at TLC 2020, and a match against Jeff Hardy and Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at Clash of the Champions 2020.
Styles will have his next PPV singles match against Finn Balor, and here’s how fans reacted to his record:
AJ Styles remains winless in singles matches on PPV for 3 years & counting now.
His last singles-PPV win being Crown Jewel 2019.

Finn losing last night doesn’t bode well for aj’s chances at survivor series tbh, hope it’s a great match with a lot of time tho.

Feels like he’s on a Shaun Michaels run. Just doing his best to put over newer talent

He’s legit where Shawn was at the end of his career and the same age Shawn was when he ended his career. I’m getting so sad realizing he’s gonna be done pretty soon 🥺

This is the wildest statistic I have ever read. Are we sure? 😵💫

Styles is like Seth. Losses don't effect him as much anymore. https://t.co/L4GGAO7KXn

AJ Styles is in the "bullet-proof" territory as in no matter how much he loses, he remains in a prominent spot. He can easily fleet in and out of the main event spot while being in big programs like against Edge or Judgement Day. His win-loss record barely matters. https://t.co/yRXb137OT2

And yet his stock hasn't really plummeted. AJ is one of thise guys that can lose but still not lose any momentum. https://t.co/NmxTfisg2O
