“They have so much talent and depth but are underachieving” – Michael Vaughan names the top team that might not win the World Cup

The upcoming edition of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to be staged entirely in India for the first time in history. The mega event is going to be held in the October-November window.

There are six more months of time left for the boards to decide, plan and experiment with the players that they are going to use for the highly-anticipated event. It is also quite obvious that a lot of ODI cricket will also be played as well.

This will give the teams a much-needed space and time to think and fix the leaks wherever it matters the most. The teams would want to head into the tournament with all their bases covered.

Meanwhile, former England captain, Michael Vaughan came up with an astonishing opinion on India’s chances for the upcoming tournament. According to him, Team India are “underachieving” in white-ball cricket.

He took to his official Twitter handle and then specifically mentioned that Team India are underachieving as far as white-ball cricket is concerned before going on to add that the Men in Blue have plenty of depth and talent.

With six months away from the World Cup event, Vaughan reckons that Team India are a bit far off the track from winning it at the moment. Team India last won the second ODI World Cup back in 2011.

The Men in Blue won the iconic tournament under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Team India got the better of the Sri Lankan cricket team in the final. As a result, they went on to clinch the coveted title.
