“There Is No Doubting”- Ravi Shastri Feels Umran Malik Is A Future International Player For India

Former head coach of the Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri has opined that the team management should take care of Umran Malik because he is a rare talent who can win matches for the Indian cricket team in the future. Malik has gained everyone’s attention with his express pace while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

Malik is one of the few Indian bowlers who can bowl at 150 kmph consistently. In the last match of IPL 2022, Malik emerged as the pick of the bowlers for the Sunrisers Hyderabad with figures of 2/39 in the four overs. He was expensive in the first over but made a comeback in the next two overs.

Ravi Shastri, who is no longer the head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, now works as a commentator for Star Sports. Speaking to the broadcasters, Shastri expressed his opinion on Umran Malik and said:

“He is consistent and I like his attitude. This kid can only learn. This guy has got genuine pace, if he hits the right areas, he is going to trouble a lot of batters. It’s about handling him properly.  There is no doubting his potential. This guy is an India player.”

Umran Malik dismissed Devdutt Padikkal with a dream delivery yesterday in IPL 2022

Devdutt Padikkal made his debut for the Rajasthan Royals last evening at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The left-handed batter looked in decent touch and could have scored his first fifty for the Rajasthan Royals, but a dream delivery from Umran Malik rattled his stumps.

Malik’s comeback would have given a lot of confidence to the Sunrisers Hyderabad team management. Their bowling attack looks decent on the paper, and if the bowlers execute their plans well, SRH can give the other teams a run for their money. SRH will play their next match against Lucknow Super Giants on April 4.
