England’s Test skipper Ben Stokes has broke the record for most sixes in Test cricket. He now leads the charts for hitting a maximum number of sixes in the longest format of the game.

Stokes achieved the feat during the ongoing Test between New Zealand and England when he pulled Scott Kuggeleun for six. The all-rounder surpassed Brendon McCullum’s tally of 107 sixes in 101 games.

The England skipper now has 108 in 90 matches. Apart from Stokes, Chris Gayle, Adam Gilchrist and Jacques Kallis are also in the list with 100, 98 and 97 sixes respectively.

Coming to the game between England and New Zealand, it’s fair to say that the visitors are way ahead in the game. After posting a total of 325 runs on the board, they bundled out New Zealand for 306 runs.

They came out all guns blazing in the second essay as well as they have taken a lead of over 365 runs. Joe Root smashed a half-century whereas skipper Stokes played a brutal knock of 31-run knock to put his team in a comfortable position.
