“That was crazy. I still hadn’t made my way to WWE. I know Eddie; I believe that was his last match before he went back to WWE. So, you go back and look at that time, how the independent scene was very booming, having Eddie there. That was the first time I had met Punk.”

Rey Mysterio says he hit it off right away with CM Punk

During the same podcast, Mysterio said that he hit it off right away with Punk. Both WWE Superstars had a similar mindset that they want to deliver a great show to the audience, and it did not matter to them if there were five fans watching them or an arena full of 15,000 people.

All three wrestlers had a great time together, and then, they all joined WWE as well. All three Superstars have had success in WWE as well. Mysterio and Punk are still a part of WWE. It will be interesting to see if they cross paths again.
