Two Bowlers Who Have Dismissed Virat Kohli 10 Times In International Cricket

Virat Kohli is known as one of the most technically correct batsmen in the world, and yet his recent failures against Anderson aren’t something that would spawn smiles across the faces of Indian fans.

As the third Test of the India England series is underway, Kohli came a cropper to Anderson again after he failed to connect with the ball and the nick carried comfortably to the safe arms of Buttler behind the timbre.

It has been a rare occasion since Kohli has fallen so vehemently against the same bowler, but Anderson has made this a religious habit to scalp the Indian captain almost every time England has squared off against India in the recent past.

Virat Kohli has found a new nemesis in these two fast bowlers

Combining all the formats, there have been just two bowlers who claimed Kohli a staggering 10 times in their career. One of them has been James Anderson, while the other has been his counterpart ever since the 2008 U19 World Cup, Tim Southee.

Anderson’s heroics are loud and clear in the longest format of the game, as he has managed to scalp the Indian skipper a whopping seven times. The English fast bowler also managed to rack up Kohli thrice in ODI cricket. At this moment, it feels as if the Indian skipper has run short of an answer to the menacing movement from the English southpaw.

Kohli’s vulnerability against Tim Southee has gone unnoticed in the recent sequence of debacles that the Indian skipper has undergone. Southee has managed to snap up Kohli a whopping 6 times in ODI cricket, while he has bested the Indian skipper once in T20 cricket and thrice in Test cricket.

The New Zealand fast bowler is capable of emanating some serious movement, and that has been Kohli’s bane for a while now. A man who was a beast when it came to driving the ball through the off-side has felt the searing heat of failing to pick the right ones that have attributed to the current decline.
