In a summit clash for the WWE Heavyweight Title at the Night of the Champions, Seth Rollins will be duking it out against AJ Styles with the hope of lifting the crown that has been decked up so wonderfully. Earlier it was believed that Roman Reigns may have a shot at the same but at the end of the discussions, it was the WWE Draft and Triple H who made sure that nothing of that sorts is happening.
After a prolonged bout of 12 superstars, eventually it all boiled down to two legends of the game who have been going with all their claws and fangs bared to reach the eventual grand finale that would pick the best of the best. It is through a battle at the Night of the Champions that would decide the fate of the beautiful title. Here are three reasons why Seth Rollins should be lifting the title.
#1 Seth Rollins has already lifted the championships before and is known protector of the gold around his waist
Every time Seth Rollins has fought for the belt, it has been a different avatar altogether where he has fought irrespective of whoever his opponent has been. From the Game to the Beast Incarnate, he has been battling his heart out, eventually showing the world why he should be the one to lift the title. Not only does he win it, but he also protects it, that actually brings out decent fights in the follow-ups.
#2 AJ Styles has just returned from injury and a title-run may have to wait
AJ Styles and Nakamura are absolute greats of the sport but unless it is for a short run, once you are returning from the injury, you will have to wait to get your title run. Going by this tenet, Seth Rollins is obviously the favorite to defeat AJ Styles after consistent showdowns in one PPV after the other and there is no stopping the former Beast Slayer.
#3 Seth Rollins is a crowd favorite
Ideally, if there is one lesson that WWE has learnt is that if you are handing over the belt to your crowd favorite, the storylines get a lot more intense. No wonder, the kind of pops that are being generated by Seth Rollins including the song that WWE Universe sings along with him, he is an obvious pick to brandish the belt around his waist. Better for the industry while bigger for the Universe is why Rollins must win.
