Mark Henry reveals ‘interesting’ discussion with Vince McMahon just ahead of leaving WWE

WWE legend, Mark Henry hogged the limelight for all the right reasons after his documentary aired and even the fans are absolutely loving what they witness here. In one such excerpt he pointed out the conversation he had with Vince McMahon ahead of his decision to join WWE’s rival company.

Henry joined AEW as a coach and a commentator after being dejected at the fact that WWE didn’t offer him an executive role despite being one of the finest in the trade. He pointed out that the confab between him and the former boss of the Stamford-based promotion is one where people can learn a lot from.

Henry said, “I told Vince, I said, ‘Hey, man, I’m gonna over there and try to make that place better, and kick your a*s in the ratings.’ (laughs) And Vince is like, ‘I know you are.’ And it wasn’t like there was an argument or fussing or fighting. We ended on good terms, and I thought that was a lesson that a lot of people need to learn. Everything has seasons.”

How did Mark Henry bid adieu to AEW?

He also bade adieu to All Elite Wrestling in a very amicable manner and responding to Bully Ray’s remark, he said, “Yes, I do. What we are talking about right now is a WWE deal. They produced it, I know all those guys, like … and I’m running it up the flagpole. I want to have the producers on to talk about this down the road. Like, the stuff that ended up on the cutting room floor, it was a year and a half, and there was a lot of stuff that we didn’t use, and I want to ask them some questions.”

Henry wasn’t happy with the fact that a few stories didn’t see the light of the day due to the producers but the overall documentary has already been engaging the fans and Henry himself is loving all the admiration that has been showered for him.
