Rahul Dravid‘s tenure as the Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team will end after the 2023 ODI World Cup. Many expected India to win a few trophies under him. However, that has not happened. The only tournament left for India to fight for this year is the ODI World Cup. While Dravid could stay if India wins it, he might not get another chance if India loses. On that note, here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted to reports that Andy Flower will become Team India Head Coach after the 2023 ODI WC.

Andy Flower might become India Head Coach later this year

Recently, Andy Flower ended his stay as the coach of the Lucknow Super Giants. Considering he had done well, it was surprising that LSG did not try to retain him. However, as per a very credible report, Flower is in the running to become the next coach of Team India. If that is true, then it adds up as to why Flower might not have agreed to an extension with LSG if it had been proposed.

India has not had a foreign coach for a while now. In fact, it was under Gary Kirsten that India won the ODI WC. Andy Flower has helped improve many teams in the past. Right now, he has a role with the Australian Team but it is not a major one. Therefore, it is quite possible that he could take over the Indian Team.

Twitter reacts to the reports

It will actually be a coup if India manages to get Flower onboard. He is a top strategist and has shown his skills with major victories in recent years. Also, it would freshen up a few things for India. There will be a different perspective and this could help the men in blue in the long run. Here is how Twitter reacted to the news:
