2 changes CSK could do for their next game against KKR

Chennai Super Kings are on a two-match losing streak. The team is slightly under pressure as they take on KKR, who are yet to lose a game till now. The management is bound to make a few changes in the playing XI. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes CSK could make for their next game against KKR.

1) Shardul Thakur for Mukesh Choudhary

It is surprising that Shardul Thakur is yet to play in IPL 2024. He is an experienced India player and having been at CSK before, it is high time that the franchise goes back to him in the playing. Mukesh had a terrible outing on his IPL 2024 debut and hence, he might have to make way for someone like Shardul.

Shardul is a wicket-taker and could be utilized in the middle overs. He is also in decent batting form, which could further help the side. Just like KKR uses Sunil Narine, he is a candidate who can be used by CSK to get some quick runs when the opposition is least expecting it. Therefore, this change is also on the cards.

2) Matheesha Pathirana for Daryl Mitchell

Matheesha Pathirana for Daryl Mitchell is one of the changes CSK could make for their next game against KKR. On another day, CSK would have invested some more time in Daryl Mitchell. However, the kind of player he is, he must have delivered by now. Also, Moeen Ali did well the other day and hence, the chances are that he will be in the squad.

Maheesh Theekshana also did well and he might be needed against KKR. Hence, Daryl Mitchell could be the person who will miss out on the playing XI. Mustafizur Rahman will also miss out in this case assuming he is available for the game.
