“I heard him speak, he was saying ‘sakreen’. It’s screen and not sakreen” – Shoaib Akhtar humiliates Kamran Akmal on-air

Former Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar made the headlines recently after he insulted Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and his teammates by questioning their communication skills.

The Rawalpindi Express drew flak after saying that Babar Azam is not a top brand in Pakistan because he doesn’t speak English. Furthermore, Shoaib Akhtar went on to ask the Pakistani players if it’s really that tough to learn English.

Akhtar also echoed that playing cricket is one job while handling the media is another job as well. The Rawalpindi Express stated that it is absolutely vital for Pakistani players to speak English properly and also urged them to enhance their oratory skills.

Shoaib Akhtar humiliates Kamran Akmal on-air

Akhtar’s controversial remarks spread like wildfire on social media circles. After taking an explosive dig at Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and his teammates, Shoaib Akhtar has now targeted former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman, Kamran Akmal.

The former Pakistani paceman took a swipe at Kamran Akmal after the former wicketkeeper-batsman mispronounced the word “screen”. Initially, Shoaib Akhtar reserved the highest respect for Kamran Akmal by calling the former cricketer a “match-winner” for the Pakistan cricket team.

Later on, Akhtar decided to take a swipe at Kamran Akmal by questioning his communication skills during a live discussion on a Pakistan-based news channel “ARY News”.

Shoaib Akhtar further stated that Kamran Akmal has played well for Pakistan before taking a brutal dig at the recently-retired wicketkeeper-batsman on-air.

The former Pakistani paceman said he heard Kamran Akmal saying ‘sakreen’. However, Akhtar went on to correct the world from ‘sakreen’ to screen. Kamran Akmal represented the Pakistan cricket team in 53 Tests, 157 ODIs and 58 T20Is wherein he scored 2648 runs, 3236 runs and 987 runs respectively.

Kamran Akmal smashed six centuries and 12 fifties to his name in Tests. On the contrary, he hit 5 centuries and 10 fifties in ODIs. On the other hand, he hit 5 fifties in T20Is.
