4 teams that have never won a game in the ODI World Cup history

The Cricket World Cup has been happening since 1975. Until the recent editions, the associate nations used to get a fair chance to do well in the competition. However, ICC has now made the ODI World Cup a 10-team event. Hence, these teams are not getting an opportunity to showcase their skills. A few teams are yet to win a game in the competition. It would be a massive feat for them to do that. On that note, here, we take a look at four teams that have never won a game in the ODI World Cup history.

1) Scotland – No wins in 14 matches

From 1999 to 2015, Scotland was a part of the ODI World Cup. They got 14 games and they failed to win any of them. Even in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers, they could not do well. The European team might get chances in the future, as well.

2) Namibia – No wins in 6 matches

Namibia is one of the teams that have never won a game in the ODI World Cup history. The African Team was a part of the 2003 World Cup. They failed to win any game. However, in recent teams, the team has been doing well, especially in the T20 format.

3) East Africa – No wins in 3 matches

Back then, countries such as Kenya were represented by East Africa. This team took part in the 1975 World Cup but could not win any game. Later, in 1989, East Africa lost its status with ICC. Kenya was one prominent team from this group that emerged.

4) Bermuda – No wins in 3 matches

Bermuda is also one of the teams that have never won a game in the ODI World Cup history. This squad was part of the World Cup in 2007. Their game against India was a famous one. However, they could not win any match in that campaign and never played in the World Cup again.
