The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been the unluckiest franchise in IPL history as they have failed to win a single IPL trophy despite being a part of the league since 2008. They have qualified for three summit clashes, but none of them ended in their favor.
In the last three seasons, RCB have finished at the last position twice, showing that the team has not had the best days in the competition. They have frequently made changes to their personnel. Some of them proved to be masterstrokes, while some proved to be blunders.

#5. Kedar Jadhav
Kedar Jadhav was the 2nd highest run-getter for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017. He aggregated 267 runs in 13 innings for the Bangalore-based franchise, finishing just behind captain Virat Kohli on the batsmen’s leaderboard.
Unfortunately, RCB could not make it big that season. Jadhav was released from the team, and then, he became a part of the Chennai Super Kings. In the last three seasons, he has scored only one fifty, while his strike rate has also been below-par.
#4. Chris Jordan
Chris Jordan made a name for himself with his brilliant performances for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016. His magical spell of 4/11 against the Gujarat Lions established the Englishman as a match winner in IPL.
However, after being released by RCB, Jordan has not done much in the IPL. He has played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab, picking up zero wickets across two seasons. Also, his economy rate has been very high.
#3. R. Vinay Kumar
Veteran right-arm fast bowler R Vinay Kumar was a match-winner for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first few seasons of IPL. He had had two stints with the franchise. In all, Vinay played 64 matches for RCB.
He picked up 72 wickets for the franchise at a strike rate of 18.13. He played for MI and KKR later in his year, but he could not make the same impact as his strike rate and economy rate got worse.
#2. Ross Taylor
New Zealand’s top order batsman Ross Taylor was a regular fixture in the Royal Challengers Bangalore lineup for the first few IPL seasons. Taylor played 22 innings for RCB, aggregating 517 runs at a strike rate of 142.03.
The right-handed batsman represented Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors, and Rajasthan Royals later in the league. However, he could not replicate his past performances in the IPL. Although he has been active for the past many years, none of the IPL franchises have shown interest in signing the former Kiwi skipper.
#1. Mark Boucher
The last name present on this list is the former South African wicket-keeper batsman Mark Boucher. The legendary player featured in 27 matches for RCB, scoring 388 runs at an average of 29.85. His strike rate was 128.05.
He later moved to the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, he could only manage six runs in four games. Ultimately, his IPL career came to an end. Boucher was the 2nd highest run-getter for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural IPL season.
