Shastri is now set to make his return to the commentary box. Ahead of his much-awaited return, the former Indian all-rounder made an interesting statement about the IPL.

In a press conference organized by Star Sports ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, Ravi Shastri highlighted how the Indian Premier League is one of the greatest physios in the world.

The physiotherapists take care of the fitness and injuries of the cricketers. Shastri said that every player starts work ing on his fitness whenever the IPL nears. If he is unfit, the franchises will not bid for him. Thus, as per Shastri, IPL is one of the greatest physios.

“IPL is one of the greatest leagues in the world, and it’s also one of the greatest physios in the world, because, before the IPL auction everyone wants to get fit because everyone wants to play in the IPL,” he said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Ravi Shastri is one of the many big names present in the commentary panel of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The former Indian all-rounder is a new addition to the Hindi commentary panel along with former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina and former Mumbai Indians stars Piyush Chawla, Harbhajan Singh and Dhawal Kulkarni.
