Cricket is nothing short of a religion in India. The people are crazy about the sport and look for ways to engage more with the sport. Fantasy Sports and especially dream11 have been a revolution for the way people enjoy the game. Dream11 is a pretty straightforward app that allows you to pick players you think will perform best in an actual match and build your playing 11. Once the match starts, you accumulate points based on the player’s actual performance during the match.

The player with the most points at the end of the match wins the competition. If you play a paid game (with real money), it goes into a common pool, and each player gets paid based on their ranks. Dream11 charges a service fee from every paid contest.

The core of Dream11 can be summarized in 3 simple steps:

1. Select a Match

Once you have installed the Dream11 app and have made an account, you will be presented with a list of upcoming matches. You can choose any current or upcoming match of your choice and start creating your Fantasy XI team.

2. Create your Dream11 Team

Now that you have selected your match, it’s time to pick a playing 11 from the two teams. In order to virtually “buy” players for your team, you will be presented with a budget of 100 credits.

Once you have selected 11 players, on the next screen, you will be asked to select a Captain and a Vice-Captain of your Dream11 team. Make sure you pick your captain and vice-captain wisely as a Captain will receive double points (2X) and a Vice-Captain will receive 1.5 X points scored in every match. You can create up to 6 teams per match and join a contest with any of the teams you have created.

Note: You can also change your team or the Captain or Vice-Captain before the deadline of the match. The deadline is usually until the first ball is bowled in the real (live) match.

3. Join a Contest

Once you are done creating your team, you can join multiple cash or free contests depending upon your budget. Every cash contest requires an entry-fee to join in. The prize breakdown is given for every contest and you can join depending upon your skill and confidence level.

4. Follow the Match

It’s now time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the live game. As the players score in the live match, your score will keep updating in Dream11. The scorecard is updated every 2 minutes. Once the match is concluded, your fantasy team’s final ranking and winning amount will be visible on the leaderboard. You can withdraw winnings over Rs.200 from your Dream11 account once your account is verified with PAN.
