Premier English Test batter Joe Root is currently playing ILT20. The right-hander is part of Dubai Capitals, who are placed 4th on the points table. Root has been playing some handy knocks for the team and putting them in a strong position.
Root has been providing his team with fiery starts and has scored 52 runs in three games so far. However, what has been enthralling is his range of shots. In a recent game, he was seen playing unorthodox shots that caught the attention of many.

Root was the part of IPL 2023 auction and was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for his base price. Mostly regarded as a Test batter, Root, however, hasn’t played a single game in the IPL but his T20I stats are enthralling as in 32 games he has scored 893 runs at an average of 35.72 and a strike rate of 126.31.
