Justin Langer has resigned from the post of Head Coach of the Australian’s Men Team. This is despite the recent success that the team has achieved. Justin Langer reportedly said that few players did not support him

According to the Australian, Justin Langer has named the reasons behind his decision to resign. He cited the lack of support of some senior players to give up the responsibility. Langer said, “If media reports are correct, several senior players and a couple of support staff don’t support me moving forward, and it is now apparent the CA board, and you Nick, are also keen to see the team move in another direction. I respect that decision.”

Langer felt that he had done a good job and finished off his resignation letter by saying, “For the last four years it has been proven this can be achieved and I am very proud of the team for their efforts on and off the cricket field. I hope we have made Australians proud and earned respect from countries around the world.”

He further added, “I am grateful that today, I am going out on a high. Hopefully, a good job has been done and I wish the team every success for the future.”

Australia will have a tough task to replace him

Australia will have a tough task in replacing Justin Langer. The former Australian opener took the role when the team was at its lowest. Australia now has a few important assignments starting from March. They will tour Pakistan next month and will have a couple of important tournaments before the T20 World Cup at home at the end of the year. Hence, Cricket Australia must find a suitable replacement at the earliest.
