Top 4 Highest Scores In Powerplay By an Batter In the IPL History

The powerplay is one of the most crucial parts of a limited-overs game. In the 50-over format of the game, the mandatory powerplay rules are applicable for the first ten overs. During that period, only two fielders can be placed outside the 30-yard circle. In the T20 form, the field limit is for six overs only.

Generally, the powerplay gives license to the batters to take risks. They only need to hit the ball over the 30-yard circle fielders to earn a boundary. If they have mastered the art of finding gaps, then powerplay is the most favorite thing for a batter. While most teams look to score around 50 runs in the powerplay overs, sometimes a single batter has managed to aggregate more than 50 runs in the first six overs only. In this article today, we will look at the four batters with the most runs in the powerplay of one innings.
