Michael Neser grabs a controversial catch in a BBL game between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers
The ongoing edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) is giving fans everything to cheer about. The 25th game of the league between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers was a high-scoring thriller that saw Jimmy Peirson-led side claiming the game by 15 runs.
However, not only the staggering display of batting caught the attention of many, but Michael Neser’s brilliance in the field stole the limelight as it turned the game in his side’s favour and eventually led to a win.
Sixers batter Jordan Silk was going all guns blazing and it seemed that he would take his side home. But Neser in the field had other plans. Silk, who was batting at 43 off 22 deliveries, crafted the ball over covers and it seemed that it would go for six.
But Neser, who was stationed there, caught the ball near the boundary rope. He then realised that he could cross the rope but he tossed the ball up. However, his release saw the ball go a little too much over the fence.
But he showcased his brilliance yet again as he once again looped the ball in the air while having no contact with the ground and then completed the catch calmly inside the playing area.

If it's out then,
Does that mean you can pluck a catch from advertisement board or even stands if you get timing of the jump right ? https://t.co/ChiqHCBP8wAdvertisement— 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒌 (@sarthakFCB) January 2, 2023
1st contact within the field
Subsequently no contact is made for the ball and the boundary. So this is considered as OUT. https://t.co/lO9mVZnLlG pic.twitter.com/bnosUKG9DLAdvertisement— Nimesh_Bhavsar (@NimeshBhavsar20) January 2, 2023
