Joy Bhattacharjya recently posted a tweet on his official Twitter handle to describe the rising heat in Delhi. India is experiencing one of its hottest summers with many cities across the country having temperatures of more than 40 degrees Celsius. The same situation is in Delhi at the moment.
To describe it in a cricketing way, Joy used the Test batting averages of some famous Indian batters. The Test batting average of Gautam Gambhir was 41.95, whereas that of Sourav Ganguly was 42.17. Joy said that the temperature of Delhi has moved past the batting average of two of India’s best left-handed batters.
Further in his tweet, he mentioned that the temperature is steadily moving towards the batting average of former Indian cricket team captains Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli. Fans should note that Sehwag had a batting average of 49.43, while that of Kohli is 49.95 right now. Thus, Joy hinted that the temperature is moving towards 50.
