“Safe to say that it’s the signing we least want”- Fans react to reports of Jon Moxley pushing AEW to sign former WWE star

Jon Moxley is one of the most successful Superstars in AEW history. Formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, Moxley was one of the first big names to join All Elite Wrestling back in 2019. He has been a multi-time world champion in the promotion and also wrestled some memorable matches.

According to reports, Jon Moxley wants a former WWE Superstar in AEW now. Moxley is a part of the Blackpool Combat Club faction in All Elite Wrestling along with former WWE star Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro). Even Bryan Danielson has been a part of this AEW faction.

It looks like Moxley wants one more member because he is reportedly pushing for the inclusion of Sami Callihan in the company. Sami, who has worked with WWE in the past, recently left TNA Impact and is looking for a new deal.

“Fightful Select: Several AEW stars, most notably Jon Moxley, are pushing to get Sami Callihan signed with AEW following his free agency. Callihan & Moxley have maintained a great relationship that dates back to their time together on the indies. Switchblade Conspiracy reunion?”

Is Sami Callihan friends with AEW Superstar Jon Moxley?

Sami Callihan has a great friendship with Jon Moxley. In fact, the two wrestlers were a part of The Crew faction back in the year 2006. Switchblade Conspiracy was the name of their tag team when they fought together in CZW.

Most recently, Callihan and Moxley wrestled as a tag team in August 2022. It is evident that Moxley wants a friend in his company. It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan signs Sami.
