Nia Jax is perceived as one of the dominant and stronger athletes in WWE. However, over the years, her in-ring performances in WWE often come into question due to her hard-hitting and physical style.
This has made a reputation for Nia Jax as a dangerous worker inside the squared circle. While some members of the WWE Universe also have a similar perception of The Irresistible Force, former WWE superstar Ryback disagrees with the same.
Nia returned to WWE in 2023 after a two-year hiatus. This came after the end of her initial seven-year stint with the promotion. The reigning Queen of the Ring gained major heat in 2018 when she broke The Man Becky Lynch’s nose inadvertently skyrocketing her popularity. Over the years, she has faced accusations of injuring other WWE superstars as well.
What did Ryback have to say about Nia Jax’s in-ring style?
On his Ryback TV show, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion defended Nia Jax, asserting that if she were truly as dangerous as some claim, she would not be a part of the WWE roster:
“I’ve only met her a couple times. She was very nice. I don’t know, I’m not there, so I don’t know. I just know if she was truly as dangerous as whatever everybody wants to make out to believe, she would not be on the roster. She wouldn’t be working with people.”
Regarding the former RAW Women’s champion’s reputation as a wrestler, Ryback noted that her moves often appear to genuinely hurt her opponents.
Moreover, Ryback believes Jax intentionally uses powerful moves to create the impression of danger and generate heat. On May 25, Nia defeated the upstart Lyra Valkyria in the Queen of the Ring final to win the prestigious crown and is now set to challenge Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship at this year’s WWE SummerSlam.
With The Irresistible Force claiming a big accolade and earning another huge opportunity, it will be interesting to see if Nia Jax would be able to once again become champion.
