It was a piece of terrible news to start the day for Indian Cricket Fans on Friday. The news came out that popular Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant had met with a serious road accident. It happened while he was returning to Delhi in his car and it is reported that the car he was travelling in overturned near the border of Rourkee. As per the preliminary reports, Pant has been injured and has been referred to a hospital in Delhi. Further news is awaited from the ground.

A few days ago, Rishabh was in the news for pulling India out of the hole again in a Test against Bangladesh. It is not the first time that he had done it. For the last two years, Rishabh had been helping out India in tough situations in Tests. However, with him injured, it will be hard for India to do well in the upcoming Test series against Australia. India will take on Sri Lanka in 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is in January. Many expected Pant to be a part of the squad. However, BCCI had asked him to be in the NCA for strength and conditioning sessions.
